early production circa 1863, with blued octagonal 3 7/16in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'HENRY BECKWITH, SKINNER ST, LONDON', crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, borderline engraved solid frame signed 'TRANTER'S PATENT' at the barrel throat, replacement sideplate and hammer axis screw, plain cylinder with front locking notches, spurred hammer, spur trigger and chequered walnut grip with iron butt-cap, fair amount of blued finish remaining
